Author Guidelines

1. All manuscripts must be written in English with A4 paper size, Time New Roman 11 font-size for Abstract single space, and 12 font-size and single plus half space (1.5) for the remaining parts of the papers;
2. All manuscripts must be original and have never been published elsewhere;
3. Empirical research should normally be between 5000 and 8000 words;
4. Non-empirical or conceptual studies should present practical ideas of ELT, and should be normally be between 4000 and 5000 words; 
5. All the manuscripts should be submitted via the OJS system in MS Word file format;
6. Authors should include a plagiarism check result (Turnitin) and a Cover Letter highlighting the study in either word doc or texts along with the submission in the OJS and stating their willingness to follow the publication process;
7. All empirical studies should adhere to the Journal Template except non-empirical studies be based accordingly; 
8. Authors should use any reference software, such as Zotero, Mendeley, or Endnotes  and make adjustments according to APA 7^th;
9. Authors should also confirm their submission to the chief-in-editor via WA: +6282145459761.   

Structure of the Manuscript

While inTESLA allows authors to organize their non-empirical or conceptual studies accordingly, it is imperative for them to follow the following components in their empirical studies:

1. Title: The title should be short, concise and reflect on the manuscript. It should not exceed 12 words.
2. Author’s names and institutions: The authors’ names without any academic titles and job title should be followed by institutions.
3. Abstract: The abstract should briefly describe the main theme and context of the article and sump up the components of the article, namely introduction, research purposes, method, findings/results and discussion, and conclusion and implications.
4. Introduction: presents the contextual and theoretical problems under the study. The former refers to the description of the context and instructional issues or problems situated within the setting of the study being undertaken, and the latter presents a brief and comprehensive summary of related literature or the gaps and any controversies in the literature, and how the research fills the voids, which subsequently leads to the research questions and objectives of the study
5. Literature Review: present the discussion of relevant literature which includes the theory underlying the research and related studies with respect to the current study being undertaken. It is not imperative to discuss the historical account of the problem of the study as it is assumed that the reader has already had the background knowledge of the related issues. It is highly suggested to use mainly recent references (the relevantly published research for the last five years) with no secondary sources. In the discussion of the related scholarship, also present the comprehensive summary of previous research findings and controversies on the thematic grounds, and how the current study differs and fills the gap, which ushers into the research problems, and which shows the paramount importance of the study to undertake.
6. Method: This section illuminates the research methodology which comprises the research approaches, design, and procedure and data analysis. Specifically, it presents the setting and population as well as sample. Also, highlight the sampling method, the use and reasons for the use of data collection method or procedures. Also, presents the design and procedure of instruction with subheading.
7. Findings and Discussion: present and interpret the results of the study with respect to the research questions and relate them to the relevant literature already reviewed in the paper and relevant theories. Also summarize the descriptive statistics or results of any statistical analyses by using tables with APA format (see APA manual guideline). Try not to repeat what has been presented. In addition, highlight any possible issues of validity, applicability and limitation if applied in other instructional settings. Present the discussion over its possible implementation in other educational and diverse contexts.
8. Conclusion: Present a comprehensive summary of the primary purposes and results of the study. It also highlights the limitation of the study and directions for future studies (replication) and discusses the practical implications of the study.
9. References: Use APA format 7^th given its general use as the reference format in the realm of education. Authors should use reference software, such as EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, and etc. and make adjustment accordingly. See Journal Template for details
